JCS Centennial Campaign

For more than a century, JCS has provided Christ-centered education—nurturing minds, shaping character, and building faith. Now, three years into our four-year Centennial Campaign, we’re continuing to invest in the future of JCS and the students we serve.

 

The Centennial Campaign focuses on three priorities:

• Access to Education — Ensuring finances never stand in the way of a Christ-centered education.

• Campus Revitalization — Creating safe, functional, beautiful spaces where students can learn and grow.

• A Legacy for Tomorrow — Building lasting support so JCS can thrive for generations to come.

Access to Education

Expanding access to Christ-centered education remains our area of greatest need. Each year, approximately $85,000 in tuition assistance helps ensure that students and families who want to be part of the JCS community can attend, regardless of their financial circumstances.

We are addressing this need through two key initiatives:

• Access to Education Fund — Providing annual tuition assistance so finances do not prevent a qualified student from attending JCS.

• Education Quasi-Endowment — Building a lasting source of tuition support for future generations of students.

 

Campus Revitalization

Our campus is more than a collection of buildings—it is where students learn, build friendships, grow in faith, and discover their God-given potential. Through the Centennial Campaign, we are making thoughtful investments in the spaces where that happens every day.

Years 1 & 2 — Complete

Thanks to our generous donors, we've made significant improvements across campus, including:

• New exterior paint and refreshed hallways

• Upgraded flooring and renovated restrooms

• A new roof

• Expanded security camera network

• New flooring in two classrooms

• Custom live-edge counters in the office and library

• Expanded driveway and a new tractor

• Continued progress on the Forest Sustainability Plan, including brush clearing, tree planting, and enhanced woodchip trails

 

Year 3 — In Progress

This year, we’re continuing to create a safer, more welcoming, and more engaging campus. Current priorities include:

• New campus signage reflecting the excellence, mission, and transformational work of JCS

• Revitalized classroom gardens and outdoor learning spaces

• A fire pit with amphitheater seating for outdoor chapels and classroom activities

• A modern remote-access gate system to strengthen campus security

• Perimeter fencing to improve safety and clearly define school property

• Expanded and repainted parking areas to better support school and community events

• A brush hog attachment for our new tractor to support ongoing grounds maintenance

 

Year 4 — Looking Ahead

As we complete the Centennial Campaign, plans include additional improvements to both indoor and outdoor learning and recreation spaces:

• Gym enhancements including new sports court flooring, interior paint, basketball hoops, a climbing wall, and sound-dampening panels

• Outdoor learning spaces with updated academic gardens and classroom gathering areas

• Expanded play and recreation areas designed to encourage exploration and active learning

• Campus security improvements including perimeter fencing and a modern gate system

• Parking improvements to better serve students, families, and community events

 

A Legacy for Tomorrow

A strong future for JCS requires more than what we can accomplish today. It requires lasting generosity that continues to support students for generations.

Our Planned Gift Program provides meaningful ways for donors to create a lasting legacy through gifts of assets. Planned gifts can help provide vital resources for future students while allowing donors to align charitable giving with their financial and philanthropic goals. Depending on the type of gift, donors may also receive significant tax benefits.

 

Giving options include:

• Gifts of Stock — Support JCS while potentially receiving tax benefits.

• Charitable Gift Annuities — Make a charitable gift while receiving guaranteed income for life.

• Donor-Advised Funds — Provide simple, flexible one-time or ongoing support.

• Bequests — Include JCS in your estate plans without affecting your current assets.

 

JCS works closely with donors and their professional advisors to help create personalized giving plans that support students for generations while respecting each donor’s financial goals and security.
